This trilogy of ballets, proposed by Julien Favreau and which have not been performed for several years, highlights the wealth of Béjartian imagination and his ability to transcend eras, styles and traditions.
- The first look, “Mallarmé III”, explores contemporary territories set to the music of Pierre Boulez.
- The second look, “Serait-ce la mort ?”, dives deep into the classical repertoire with Richard Strauss’s last four Lieder.
- Finally, the third look, “Dionysos (suite)”, is rooted in the traditional musical repertoire, carried by the mesmerizing melodies of Manos Hadjidakis.
