More info

Just steps from the Roman museum of Lausanne-Vidy, the archaeological park provides an ideal complement to the visit for those wishing to explore the remains of the ancient city of Lousonna.

Explanatory panels and eight optical viewers reconstructing the ancient structures allow visitors to visualize the main buildings of the square: the basilica (housing political, judicial, administrative, and economic activities) and the temple dedicated to the worship of Rome and the emperor.

On a water feature recreating the ancient lakeshore, an artwork made of oak piles dating back twenty centuries, created by Etienne and Fabien Krähenbühl, enhances the site: “Horizons Lousonna”.

Halfway between the museum and the park, visitors can also admire a geometric-style mosaic that once adorned the bathing room of a Gallo-Roman house.
