Domaine du Burignon

Where?
Chemin du Burignon 2
A sublime terrace to savour regional wines while enjoying the view over the lake and Lavaux vineyards, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. A must!
That little extra from the food insider "Cuisine Helvetica": The City of Lausanne has owned the Domaine du Burignon since 1802. The third Thursday of every month, the Burignon’s winegrower organises tastings of the estate’s wines known as “jeudéguste”.
Favourite drink: The Chasselas “Avec Vue”

More info

This small winegrowing hamlet, nestled in the heart of Lavaux, is a bed & breakfast with 16 beds. In summer, its beautiful terrace, offering a fabulous view over Lake Geneva and the Alps, doubles as a wine bar for an aperitif and serves a variety of tartares.
Open all year round, the bed & breakfast offers two suites and a flat housed in “Le vieux Burignon”, an old building that has been renovated. Each lodging has its own independent entrance. Breakfast, consisting of local products, is served on request.
Since 2023, drones are deployed to treat the Burignon Estate’s plots with phytosanitary products, and the estate is transitioning towards organic viticulture. Its Viognier, its blend of Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, and its 1st Grand Cru Roches-Plates are definitely worth tasting.
Did you know?
The Burignon Estate received the Vaud Wine-Tourism certification in 2015, an accreditation that has since been regularly renewed. The 2022 Burignon Chasselas has received the Terravin label.
