In the shop of this organic chocolatier, it’s hard to resist the vast array of bars, blends for hot chocolate and chocolates with flavoured ganache – some even with pinot noir or Vaud sparkling wine, depending on the season.

More info

Based since 1998 in Lausanne, Durig Chocolatier offers a rich selection of rare origin chocolate bars, pralines, truffles and other chocolate specialities in its boutiques located at Avenue d’Ouchy 15 and Rue Mercerie 3. All its chocolates are organic and freshly handcrafted.
The pralines and chocolates are made from the best organic cacao beans – mainly the South American Criollo bean – pure cocoa butter and organic, fair trade and tasty ingredients. Swiss organic cream is used to make the ganaches, caramels and truffles.
It is also possible to take part in virtual chocolate visits for groups of at least 10 people.
Anecdote
Twenty-five years ago, before Daniel Durig set up his artisanal production of chocolate, the beautiful building dating from the beginning of the last century on Avenue d’Ouchy housed the offices of the cantonal bank. Daniel Durig is fond of saying that he has filled the bank vaults with chocolates as he didn’t succeed in finding gold!
