Sundays don’t always mean a lie in… At least for me! As soon as the days get warmer, I enjoy rising (very) early to head towards the Jetée de la Compagnie and a yoga session right on the waterfront… Inspire … expire!
On summer mornings, it’s the ideal spot for a yoga session. La Jetée actually offers classes, but I love going there even before the classes take place, just when the sun is rising and all is calm, the only noise being the water lapping against the rocks.
It needs no introduction. It’s one of Lausanne’s iconic spots, where I love to bathe and watch the sunset while enjoying a pint of good beer.
If you’re an early bird and have nothing planned on a Saturday, the Jetée de la Compagnie organises concerts at dawn from time to time. A coffee, classical music and the sunrise over those magnificent Swiss Alps: it’s a pleasant way to start the day and spend some quality time with your family.
Without a doubt my favourite spot to get the day off to a great start. Every year, I impatiently await the return of yoga sessions at the Jetée de la Compagnie. The Jetée is a lively place located on the lake shore, with two containers serving food and drinks, as well as a musical space to meet after work. However, the Jetée is also characterised by its yoga classes organised every morning of the week. No need to register, you simply turn up with your mat and take up a spot facing the lake to relax for an hour. There’s no fixed rate, you contribute a free donation.
More than a simple viewpoint, La Jetée de la Compagnie is a real corner of paradise in Lausanne. What with a breathtaking view over Lake Geneva and an appetising menu of snacks and cocktails, it’s the perfect place for a relaxing moment in the morning or a friendly evening with friends.
Immerse yourself in a musical moment full of serenity with Thelonica. Every summer, the association offers you concerts at dawn, at the Jetée de la Compagnie. Its eclectic programming includes jazz, modern, classic and contemporary music. The unique atmosphere at dawn invites to an experience of discovery, dialogue and inner peace.
