Valency Park

Nature
Recently remodelled, the upper part of Valency Park plays on Mediterranean impressions: its white gravel walkway shaded by lime trees is reminiscent of the "Places de Lices" (tournament areas) in the south of France where they play games of petanque. Indeed, the gravel replaced lawns that were a sorry sight in the summer due to the shade produced by those great trees.

L’Atelier, located in a quieter street of Lausanne, is one of my favourite places to relax while sipping hot chocolate or start an aperitif.

It’s the art of drinking coffee, beer or a delicious lemonade in the midst of works displayed on the walls and that change with the seasons. Drinks are served most graciously by Laure and Cybèle, the two manageresses, with whom it’s hard not to strike up a friendship as you go back time and again, and believe me, go back you will.

More info

The a-t-e-l-i-e-r’s two manageresses who have a passion for art welcome you warmly with dishes appropriate for every time of the day. A slice of brioche-like bread and jam or a hard-boiled egg in the morning, bruschetta with tomatoes and stracciatella cheese, smoked lake fish or feta for lunch and snack boards, olives, grilled peppers or artichokes when the hour for an aperitif has struck. To be savoured in the garden or on the terrace when the sun is out, of course!
