The bourgeois charm of the neighbourhood under the train station is rather cliché. Nevertheless, you have to admit the area (which is also mine) possesses some indisputable qualities, such as the ice-cream parlour Loom that offers dozens of flavours as unlikely as they are irresistible.
When the summer heat gets intense, it’s essential for me to eat my favourite ice cream at the loom gelateria. A mouthful of their delicious flavours and you’re transported directly to Italy!
Alongside the classic flavours of its handmade frozen treats, loom regularly offers new ice-cream and sorbet seasonal taste sensations, such as Valais apricot in summer or “raisinée” pear syrup and gingerbread in winter. Cinnamon remains irresistible for me!
It’s a meeting place for foodies. The many unique ice cream flavours that are served in that gelateria give us food for thought and create quite a gathering at Boulevard de Grancy when the weather is hot.
It was during a sunny summer day that I noticed the queue spilling out onto the pavement in front of the shop. Considering its list of ice-cream varieties with exotic and sophisticated flavours, I gave in to the temptation. One of the best ice creams I had ever tasted! An ice-cream vendor to try as soon as possible to make your day.
Don’t you know that address? It’s easy to find: simply walk along Boulevard de Grancy and spot the line of people queuing to enter this true temple of iced flavours. There’s something to suit every taste and every palate – my favourite remaining the black-sesame ice cream.
