As a freelancer, Sleepy Bear is the perfect refuge for me. I can sit in front of the window with my laptop and work while people come and go around me… and savour my “almond latte”, always prepared to perfection by the owner Diana.
In the mornings, I just can’t do without my coffee. Sleepy Bear offers a cocooning setting, it’s just like being at home and I can savour a delicious cold brew to start the day in the best possible way.
OK, it’s a fact that coffee isn’t our strong point in Switzerland. However, I have recently discovered a small bar in the area under the train station that offers a rich variety of original coffees with aromas from all around the world. A wee tropical touch in the Olympic Capital, the Sleepy Bear Café will take you on a journey through its unusual caffeinated specialities.
This place is much more than a café. The speciality coffee is exceptional, the staff welcomes you with a big smile and the teddy bears can keep you company when you go there on your own. A stone’s throw from the train station, Sleepy Bear is a must visit if you’re leaving Lausanne or if you’re returning there (pets and kids friendly).
