Guided by a local, take a gourmet tour of the city's emblematic restaurants and historic cafés, including the oldest restaurant in Vaud, dating back to the 18th century.
A gourmet tour in four stages
On the menu for this unusual tour: discovery and tasting of delicious local specialities in four stages. The tour kicks off at the Macheret cheese dairy for an irresistible tasting of three typical cheeses: the unmissable Gruyère, the creamy Tomme Vaudoise and the traditional Tête de Moine, which you can shave into delicate rosettes using a Girolle. The second popular stop is Brasserie du Cygne, where you can enjoy an original – and surprising – take on the famous dish Papet Vaudois with a Malakoff and a glass of red wine. If you still have a little room left, head to the legendary Pinte Besson for a selection of fondues to share, including the much-loved half-and-half, accompanied by a glass of chilled Chasselas. And to finish on a sweet note, pick up your box of 100% Swiss fine chocolates in the Saint-François district, at Blondel, master chocolatier since 1850.
A unique and authentic opportunity to sample the history and gastronomy of Lausanne.
