Savour typically Swiss dishes, from aperitif to dessert, by heading to three different addresses in the heart of the city of Lausanne. You decide in which order to go to each restaurant – just keep an eye on opening hours.
How it works
Practical information
An aperitive platter is served with a glass of wine or a soft drink at the Brasserie de Montbenon anytime from 11 am to 10.30 pm. This restaurant, very well known to Lausanners, offers a unique view over the Alps and Lake Geneva, as well as one of the most beautiful terraces in town.
The main dish is served from 11.45 am to 1.45 pm at the Café du Grütli, an authentic bistro chosen among Lausanne’s historical bars and restaurants. Here, dishes are prepared essentially from fresh, local, market products, following the seasons. A special menu awaits children under 12 for the main dish!
For dessert, take a carac to go at the renowned Noz Chocolaterie, open Tuesday to Friday from 6.30am to 7pm and Saturday from 7am to 5.30pm.
Our suggestion
Why not start at lunchtime with your main course at the Café du Grütli, then in the afternoon – while you’re shopping in the city – reward yourself with a little break with a takeaway pastry from Noz Chocolaterie? Finally, you can round off your visit with an early evening aperitif at the Brasserie de Montbenon!
