Every Saturday, meet at the Esplanade de la Cathédrale at 11am for a guided tour lasting an hour and a half. Your guide will tell you all about the secrets of the medieval city and its Gothic cathedral, the picturesque market steps, the Place de la Palud and its Town Hall, and the trendy Flon district and its modern architecture.
How it works
Practical information
Languages of the tours
Tours can be given in French, English and/or German. Groups of a maximum of 20 participants will be formed according to bookings.
Family
For children under 16, the visits are free. To discover the city of Lausanne in a playful way, a surprise awaits children under 12. Announce their presence in the “Comments” field.
Reduced mobility
Unfortunately, the public guided tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. However, our team will be happy to offer you a personalised alternative. Please send your request to experiences@lausanne-tourisme.ch. Lausanne has a unique topography, with a cobbled surface in the city centre. As a result, the road surface is not uniform and there may be a difference in level of up to 15%.
