The birds are bursting into song, the warm sunlight is once more caressing our faces and we can even sometimes smell the delicious aroma of a barbecue in the distance… It seems that springtime is well and truly back in Lausanne! And with it, our season’s favourite activity: setting off to find the most beautiful blossoming cherry trees (and magnolias) in the city. Follow us, we’re taking you with us on a tour of Japan in the heart of Lausanne.

1. The Olympic Museum Park
Probably the best-known spot for blossoms in Lausanne! As soon as the first buds appear, we rush to admire them and take loads of photos worthy of the most beautiful Japanese parks. What’s more, the outing is doubly rewarding, since we can combine our flower shooting with a visit to the Olympic Museum, a stone’s throw away (literally).

4. The Promenade de la Ficelle
As soon as the sun starts to come out, Lausanners make for the lakeside! To get there, we walk down the Promenade de la Ficelle (String Walk), which owes its name to the old rack railway that linked the Flon to Ouchy, and grants us a pretty flowery walk in the spring.

5. ERACOM Park
The trees in ERACOM’s park are in the starting blocks: each year, they are among the first trees to blossom in Lausanne, giving us a springtime atmosphere slightly ahead of time, to our greatest delight.
