Webinar – Lausanne and its surroundings
We all need to get some fresh air and drift our minds while enjoying panoramic views. You’ll need to put on your hiking shoes as we’ll bring you to hidden gems, only known by the locals, to some the most famous spots of Switzerland and to a 3000m high glacier.
During this virtual trip, you will discover some of the numerous surroundings of Lausanne with a first stroll in the unique Lavaux UNESCO terraced vineyards. Then, you will take a trip in the nature and join Romainmôtier and its sumptuous medieval town. In addition to that, how about a walk on the only hanging bridge in the world which links two peaks together at the Glacier 3000 ? The excursion will then continue to the Chillon Castle, which inspired the well-known poem of Lord Byron called “Le Prisonnier”, before taking the train up to the Rochers de Naye and enjoy the breathtaking view.
You will end this excursion in the medieval town of Gruyères, which gave its name to the world famous cheese, still produced in its mountains.
After attending many Zoom sessions over the past year and beyond, I find the Lausanne presentations to be the best. They are a great mix of spontaneity, authenticity and content. I feel that I have been transported (back) to the region!
